Installing the Voxeo Prophecy Voice Platform is easy. First, decide which version is right for you. Next, make sure that your hardware/software is compatible, and run the setup wizard. Once you're done, you can convert your 30-day evaluation license to a free, two-port license.
Installation Planning
System Requirements
Prophecy's system requirements vary, depending on how you are going to use the system and depending particulars of your own environment (for example, other processes that are running). For this reason, we don't set strict minimum hardware requirements. For reference, Voxeo's on-premise deployments use the following configuration:
Intel Quad-Core 2.83 GHz processors
Microsoft Windows Server 2003, CentOS 5.2 or RHEL 5
4 GB RAM
Two, 150 GB hard drives, set up in a Raid 1
This configuration currently supports:
250 ports of CCXML + VoiceXML for DTMF applications.
125 ports of CCXML + VoiceXML + ASR + TTS
300 ports of CallXML
Use these as guidelines when assessing your system requirements, keeping in mind a number of factors that come into play, like the complexity of your application, whether it is completely hosted on the same server as Prophecy, and e.g. whether you are using additional TTS or ASR resources.

Software Requirements
Prophecy is designed for the Microsoft(R) Windows operating system; Linux and the Mac OS X operating systems. Voxeo recommends:
Production system -- use Windows 2003 Server, CentOS 5.2 or RHEL 5. We are currently testing Prophecy with Windows Server 2008.
Development system -- you can use Windows XP Home or Pro editions or Windows Vista, or Mac OS X. Windows 7 should also work, however we have not done extensive testing with this operating system.
Note: For Windows 7 and Vista, you will need to set C:\Program Files\Voxeo\prophecySysTray.exe and C:\Program Files\Voxeo\prophecy.exe to run as Administrator. In Windows Server 2008, these are located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Voxeo\prophecySysTray.exe and C:\Program Files (x86)\Voxeo\prophecy.exe. This option can be found by right-clicking the file, clicking Properties and then clicking the Compatibility tab.
Installing Prophecy
