Overview of Features on Prophecy Home

Link Description
Quick Start Guide This online guide walks you through testing your Prophecy installation, using the included SIP phone, updating call routes, and creating your first Hello World application.
Management Console The Management Console is a web-based configuration tool that guides you through setting up the different components of your voice application. The default username and password is admin/admin. To learn about each section of the Management Console, go to Using the Prophecy Management Console.
Prophecy Designer Designer is Voxeo's easy-to-use, web-based GUI for rapid speech or DTMF IVR and VoIP application creation. Designer significantly reduces the time and complexity associated with VoiceXML application development. Click the Designer link to launch Designer and start developing your applications. For a tour of Designer's features, click here.
Community Manager Opens the community manager. The community manager allows you to build communities (i.e., configure multiple Prophecy installations to work together).
Updates and Add-ons Launches the Voxeo Prophecy Updates page, where you can check for new builds of Prophecy and try out cool open source telephony applications such as a voicemail application that records voicemail messages and delivers them as audio attachments via email.
Registration Prophecy comes with a fully functional 30-day license key, which may be upgraded to a permanent free license at any time. The free license includes two ports (two concurrent calls), however additional ports can be purchased. To learn more about licenses and registration, go to Registering Your Copy of Prophecy.
Token Tester A token is simply an alphanumeric parameter that allows you to create an outbound call to a specified party via an HTTP request. The Token Tester is a GUI for 4 sample applications that will place an outbound call to a number you specify. Token IDs are defined in the Call Routes section of the Management Console. To learn more about how this tool works, go to Token Tester in this chapter.
