SIPMethod

Voxeo's SIPMethod Application Server is a robust SIP Application Server converged with Web and Web Services. It is composed of a high performance SIP Servlet Specification 1.1 (JSR 289) compliant SIP Servlet engine with a seamlessly integrated HTTP Servlet and Web Services engine. It leverages the standard SIP Servlet API to provide an open programmable and extensible application interface for SIP application developers.

SIPMethod Application Server enables service providers and enterprises to develop and deploy SIP based convergence solutions rapidly and cost effectively. With seamless integration between Web capabilities, service-oriented architecture, sand realtime communication services, service providers and enterprise application vendors are able to rapidly deliver converged multimedia IP communication and collaboration solutions that offer significant revenue growth opportunities and ability to improve revenue yield.

SIPMethod Application Server is built upon a microkernel architecture with high performance, robustness, flexibility, and extensibility. SIPMethod Application Server supports key SIP extensions in addition to RFC 3261.

SIPMethod is used in the Prophecy product to host it's internal Web Applications (like the Prophecy Home Page and the Management Console) as well as it's internal SIP Servlets (like the VoiceXML SIP Servlet). This does not mean end users cannot also deploy their own applications or that SIPMethod as it is packaged with Prophecy is any less capable then a stand alone installation. A full set of documentation on SIPMethod can be found in the SIPMethod/docs directory under the Prophecy home directory (the directory where Prophecy is installed), just open the "guide\toc.html" file in your favorite web browser.
